I live in Michigan, not too far from a small town called "Hell." The town, of course, is celebrating tomorrow. CNN even picked up on the story:

I've been to Hell once, there's not much there. If I didn't have to work, and I had never been, perhaps I'd pay them a visit...

I've been there, too. Anytime someone tells me to "go to Hell," I ask him why he wants to send me to Michigan. And as far as Hell freezing over, I was there in winter!

I recall hearing that "666" was a mistranslation of "777" although I really wouldn't know anything about that.

I believe researchers recently said that the number in question is really "616" and was a reference to Caligula.

Full moons make you nervous?! Where is that wolfbane I keep handy? Do you ever wake up the next morning and not remember what you did the night before?

Mark of the Beast

Was that "hell's bells?"

Now, I heard that 666 was the number of Nero, at least the Catholics thought so.

The real beast, I have heard of late, is a computer (or computers) and that St. John, exciled and quite old, saw a vision of the future -- something he thought was a "beast -- but it was a computer.

So, here I am, on my noble beast, writing on this thread.

Looks like I've gone to the Dark Side....
