I have been wearing vintage dresses for a while, but today was my first day wearing the whole sha-bang. I wore a dark navy late 1930's dress with short sleeves with a white lace constrasting collar and french cuffs, a navy blue 1930's hat, brown 1930's lizard/leather dainty lace up shoes, a chocolate brown alligator structured handbag with art deco clasp, a 16'' length of vintage pearls, white embroidered gloves and red lipstick! So many componants, and when I walked out my door, I was a bit nervous, because I thought maybe I looked to costumey, but I have people stopping me on the street, people in shops inquireing about my clothing, and over all got an extreamly positive reaction. As a build my collection more, I decided I will continue to dress in full on vintage. It was great fun!
