Today I am a "Ma'am"

I've been called Ma'am regularly since I was around 18. It doesn't bother me at all. I was brought up in the north but raised by a southern Mom so it was taught me to always say ma'am and sir out of respect and common courtesy. So when folks say ma'am to me, I just think they're being respectful or courteous.

I'm from Texas-- everyone who is a female is Ma'am.
I enjoy it. It's a term of respect/endearment.

My friends find it hilarious when I refer to myself as a Schoolma'am. I guess the connotations are of Miss Trunchbull from Matilda or Alistair Sim in St Trinians!
