You can say that again. Even here in the DC suburbs, where you find almost no vintage clothes in the thrift shops, you find the '30s ties.

I don't know what's going on here in Detroit, but thin ties in general sell for a fortune at the (yes the there's only one decent one around here) vintage store. There might be some in the thrift stores, but I only ever find 80's stuff! [huh]

Goodwill stores are absolutely jam packed with 1930s ties.

In the US, you mean? In London at least, I haven't been lucky.

I don't know of any Goodwill stores in the UK.

But yes, i was specifically referring to American thrift stores. Uk is pretty barren, even in the vintage stores, as you know.

That's my impression, but I might just have too little expertise, or never been to the secret treasuries.
