Thurston shop in Seattle closed?

My wife and I are leaving for Seattle tomorrow and I had really been looking forward to visiting the Thurston shop there. Having spoken with Carrie earlier this year about a proposed jacket, I made a courtesy call to let her know I was coming up there.
She called back and left a message that there wasn't currently a shop to visit. Disappointing, as I had been looking forward to actually seeing some Aero gear and getting a "feel " for the different leathers, sizing etc. Admittedly not quite there on actually pulling the trigger, but a visit would have gotten me closer!

Wondering if there are other brick and mortar leather jacket vendors of note in Seattle? New or vintage. I do plan on checking things out at Filson.

The Filson factory store near the downtown area is well worth the visit. I think Goodwear is located in Seattle but unsure whether or not John has a store there. You might reach out to him on his website to see if he does as his stuff is world class!

I think they still do fittings at a 3rd party location but I could be wrong... If you have something specific in mind I'd reach out to Carrie. Langlitz is relatively nearby too. ;)

Sadly there was a fire earlier this year near their storefront, so I think they're running without a physical store atm.

Hi All--

We had a huge gas explosion in our neighborhood--

http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle...ttle-explosion-in-the-greenwood-neighborhood/

Our building is still yellow tagged from this disaster. Our north wall was compromised in the blast and is therefore, unsafe. However, the building will be redeveloped into something better (this is beyond our control...we're not the owners of the building)...In the meantime, we're doing Aero, Vanson, and Thedi fittings via fit jackets and at the Phinney Neighborhood Assoc. Please call or email to set up an appt. and we'll figure out a good time to meet...

All can read about our fit jacket process (customers LOVE it!) at--
