We use lightweight Lochcarron tartans frequently in our stock jackets (and many customers prefer them), but the medium and heavyweights are excellent options too! When you start our fit jacket process, we include samples of all three tartan thicknesses, plus a variety of other lining fabric samples. Chromexcel Steerhide has been under the radar since we first started carrying it in our shop about 14 years ago, but in the recent years we've seen more customers choosing it for their custom builds and snapping it up off of our Aero Stock page! This leather is thick, tanned and dyed just like its more famous brother, CXL FQHH, and it feels fairly flexible right out of the box.
