On a side note: do any of you who own this type of jacket actually use the breast pocket(s)? To me they seem unpractical especially with a stiff leather and fitting jacket. I also think Vanson have the better design here with their assymmetrical 1 pocket setup. But of course the aeros can be customized.

I do, for my phone. I use the MP3 player on my phone a lot so it's real handy for that with the headphone cord being on the outside and not coming out from an inner pocket. I only use that one pocket though. If there are 2 pockets I keep the jacket's hang tags in the other pocket.

Carrie, received my blue samples – thanks very much for sending over the pond.

Not as yet convinced any of the blues would work that well with Aero's existing brown knits. Wondering whether something more oatmealy/biscuity might not do the trick. Anything like that possible?

I was down at Aero today and asked to see the blues, but they only had one. It seems the others, including the waxy, are Insurrection-supply only. I'm not sure how that would work for a UK delivery.

On a side note, I did see a very interesting and unusual almost-finished blue jacket (can't narrow it down for legal purposes, I'm afraid), which will surely generate some discussion if it appears on the board.

We supply the hide to Aero at the time of order...

it is gorgeous ... and in the sunlight, it almost looks two-toned, especially on the shoulder yoke. ken's new designs are just something else. the hudson is intricate -- with the pockets and piping -- but at the same time classic and simple. not something that's easy to achieve.

oh, scott, i decided to go with the dark brown mouton collar on the cherry fqhh hudson i ordered with carrie. wade said the black undertones in the cherry hide would just really pop with the dark brown, rather than the rust, which he thought would stand out a bit too much. ought to be a beauty.

L--Your Aero Hudson, as of today, is on its way to us...it should be stunning!!!

Could we see a bit more of that Aero Mulligan? It looks great!

Here's the Aero Mulligan, which has cargo pockets and pocket flaps...a beautiful jacket!

We also sell the Aero Maxwell, which is very popular and employs double welted pockets. The fit, which is amazing, is exactly the same on both jackets!

A really nice detail on the Mulligan is that the pocket flaps are designed so that they can fit neatly inside the pocket, so you can change the look of the jacket completely.

That's a heck of jacket. I'm beginning to think that if someone was looking for a 30's trim look that would be a better bet then an Aeromarine. If I was to do it I'd think about scalloped pockets and maybe buttons. With just a inch of added length. Make it in whatever is the lightest weight brown horsehide (Jerky or the new battered brown) and you'd be good to go.

You think 'football' ones would be better?

Those do look great on the Maxwell as well as the Mulligan!

Insurrection/Thurston Bros. has only 11 September Aero production slots left available for North American customers...beat the Fall rush and get your custom Aero flight, Aero utility, or Aero motorcycle jacket by late September/early October!
