The top jacket is cordovan heavy FQHH and has the the no-yoke option. One thing we like about this jacket is that it is a classic 1920s design with buttons and a very trim fit that's a little bit dressier than the 1930s Half Belt style.

It's a beauty. It's pretty much what I had envisaged for a colder weather Aero, with alpaca lining. It's been a costly lesson but I've learned that, because it's such a heavy leather, horsehide really needs to be a trim fit or it feels like a cardboard mac.

So, will this gorgeous design be available in the mother country (ie the Uk) or would it be betraying trade secrets to tell?

Another exciting development that we have finished with Aero is the J107 jacket, which is a faithful replica of the Buco J-71 (see photo below). I'll try and get photos of the J107 up either tonight or tomorrow. This jacket is a stunner, complete with mixed hardware, just like the originals!

That Buco looks crackin'. Close to the Perfecto in style as a non-D pocket, but different enough to make a nice change.

A beautiful jacket, but compared to the old one, it looks longer.

Here's the new one:

And here's the old one:

If you look at the relationship between the tops of the belt straps and the bottoms of the pockets on the old one, they overlap horizontally.

On the new one, they dont. The tops of the belt straps are around an inch below the base of the pockets.

I know alot of folks like longer jackets these days - and that's cool, if that's what they want - but the vibe of these old jackets was a tight look, just sitting over the trouser belt. This new one looks longer.

I hope the good folks at Aero can prove me wrong:D;)

I would say about 3/4 of an inch longer. The extra length gives it a slightly martial look. Both are fine but have a different feel.

Ok- Carrie, here's my question for you; is there any way to gain an extra inch or two across the belly on a FQHH HB Deluxe? Maybe some sort of zipper replacement?
Love my Aero, but it's a bit more snug than I like.

Many thx-
