This gorgeous custom Thedi Phenix was made for our customer in Oregon! He chose a veg-tanned Black Cowhide that isn't dyed all the way through--you can see the natural color inside the exposed sleeve gusset. The thickness is similar to CXL FQHH or even CXL Steer. However, it is quite soft and pliable! The leather just needs some wear and time in the rain for the grain to pop

It's a different leather and it's one that Vanson keeps in stock (both the blue and brown versions). The Brown Cowhide from the limited run that we offer is heavier and has a "shell" like the standard Black Comp. Weight. The leather from this Daredevil is much more matte--not much shine at all. The matte surface makes the blue color much deeper!
