^^Okay, but Louis fought a lot of second-raters later in his career...Muhammad Ali (aka Cassius Clay).
As a heavy, Charles McGraw or Raymond Burr?

Gehrig all the way. DiMaggio was full of himself. Besides, all New Englanders know the old song --
"He's better than
His brother Joe --
Dom-in-ic DiMaggio!"
Koufax or Drysdale?
Marinara.
Gordie Howe or Bobby Hull?
The Dodgers ceased to exist on October 1, 1957. Plus the Angels used to have those nifty halo things on top of their hats, so let's go with them.
Dick Enberg or Vin Scully?
Howe
Sidney Crosby or Alex Ovechkin
Bill Veeck.
Sidney Crosby. Better playmaker.

Even though Scully was and remains an O'Malley loyalist, I still consider him the most gifted broadcaster ever to call a ball game. And even though I was born and raised and will die a Sox fan, I prefer the National League brand of the game because it omits the DH. Pitchers should hit, or at least try to hit -- I dearly love the memory of Luis Tiant chugging his ample bulk around the basepaths, losing his helmet and exposing his shiny bald head in the process. That's what baseball's all about.
Charley Finley or Bill Veeck?
