Leather looks amazing. Any signs of teacore showing? Would love to see the evolution on this one, can we count on you?

After a week of wearing, here are a couple of spots of teacore I have noticed appearing. (I’ll continue showcasing the evo here.)

I handled one of these at self-edge yesterday, and the leather is very very nice!

Did the lightness of the jacket surprise you? It was a pleasant surprise to me, being that I was looking for a multi-purpose, carry-along jacket for anywhere.

This jacket reminds me of a lighter—yet substantial—motorcycle jacket I had in the late 80s that I wore to the 9:30 Club, DC Space and a handful of other hardcore venues throughout my youth in Washington DC., all the way through college and until 2005, when finally I lost it on the night that I drank my last tequila in San Francisco. I had taken that jacket everywhere I went. Losing it sucked and I was the only one to blame (at least I still had my wallet and all my teeth).

I won’t be as reckless with this one—those days are long over.

This is a crazy good jacket, but I have spotted something different, so I’m lightly considering selling the Iron Heart to partly (very *small* partly) fund it. I’m thinking of selling it for even less than the ridiculously low price that I got it for. I’m thinking of putting it up for $675 for TFL members who are currently interested in this thread thus far—wanted to announce it here before I place it in the general sales forum.

You can see the approximate measurement on the Self Edge page:

https://www.selfedge.com/iron-heart?product_id=1514

Here it is, at the office today.

All the great jackets (a small handful) I’ve ever had were The One! But now you got me thinking twice.

Too true! And don’t let me change your mind, I was just a little surprised because your enthusiasm for this jacket was so real. Shoot, I even started looking at them and was relieved to find that iron heart is out of the size that would fit me best.
What is it you have your eye on now anyway?

Haha! my enthusiasm for the Iron Heart is so real it is palpable. But I’m eying the Fine Creek Bud jacket in two-tone brown and black, same kind of horsehide, from a Japanese seller.

I fear this—and I’m thoroughly and nervously aware of this!

The solution is so simple and obvious I’m surprised you hadn’t arrived at it already. Keep the iron heart jacket and buy the fine creek jacket. Problem solved, you’re welcome!

I'm a long loyal supporter of collarless leather :D, and from the photo, the chest panel between the sleeve is kind of narrow, it would spread the top nicely "V" off the bike when you half zip it (= looks cool)
