The milan [yes it smells like a hay pasture] was easy to work... ONCE it was wet enough.
Let me tell you I plan on wetting and working this hat till I have all the
'kinks' worked out.

Thanks Bob... its kinda like an Open Road.... crease it like a fedora. I love a thin ribbon.. really like a milan.... this is as close as I can come to the best of both worlds !!!!

A hat smelling like a hay pasture is very appealing to me. Anyhow, although I like the original "LBJ" look well enough, I do think you've improved on it. Keep the thin ribbon, oh yes, perfectly fits the look. I'm tempted to get one and do this myself.

The "after" shot looks great...you wear the taller crown well, I think. How tall from the brim to the pinch at the front?

The front pinch is right at 4 3\4, the back of the crown is 3 1\2 and the brim is 2 7\8's.
