Hence, one of my favorite expressions of my Dad's (not really his, just of the era, but I learned it from him) and used to describe anyone who look attractive and prosperous - "you look like a certified check."

Recently...underground pipe issues.
Plumber was highly recommended and affordable
but took about two weeks to fix the pipes.
In the meantime...

Just like old times!

also Washington Post. Although the
Post tends to be more brittle in more
ways than one.

Saw this dog at the grocery store parking lot.

Reminded me of “jake”, my grandmother’s pit-bull when I was three.
Everywhere we went it was jake & me, folks
called me, "2jakes".
He took care that none of the bullies would harm me.
