I'm starting this topic as a place to post a collection with a theme. If you have a collection with a theme post it here!

Examples: Hats made in your state, hats of the same color, hats with a certain kind of bow etc...

My themed collection is based on having a custom hat made to represent each of my children. I currently have 4 living children and 2 (twins) who died after being born very prematurely. Art Fawcett made my first 3 hats and Tim Mahovuch/Cane Rod Maker made the 4th. I still have 2 more to go and wouldn't be surprised if the final number is higher than 6 as our family is still growing.

I came up with this idea with my wife while we were still mourning the loss of our twins. I contacted Art and we began putting together the first hat for my first born son Max. I gave Art my ideas and likes and let him run with it from there. This is the "Max":

Next I contacted Art again for a hat for Max's twin Carlota. I mentioned a couple of felt colors I liked to Art and he recommended the Sunset felt for this project. Here's the "Carlota"

After doing the twins hats Art began selling his Hitchhiker model of Nutria hat. A tough natural colored hat seemed perfect for representing my second oldest daughter Camilla shown here:

She's wild, tough and has a bit of her mothers color. Here's the "Camilla"

The newest hat in the collection is the Tim Mahovuch (Cane Rod Maker) hat for my third oldest daughter Greta shown here:

I asked Tim to do the hat in silverbelly with a touch of blue somewhere in the bow (Greta has very clear blue eyes). I think he nailed it and I'm very happy with the hat and fit.

Without further ado, here's the "Greta":

You had a great idea to post our hats with special meaning. I only have one child and this was a gift from Tim to celebrate that birth. The Dusty Rose accent was to celebrate my baby girl. So this hat is called the "Lilly"

Case, Sam right? What a neat thing to do. I had read about History's hat while it was being made and thought what Cane Rod did was so special, so thoughtful, wow. I had seen the Max hat before and remarked that it was unique and I am a blue kinda guy - my favorite color. But that Greta, wow, to me, that one just POPS. I love the little blue in the keeper, and it focuses the eye, keeps it interesting, but you don't have to keep staring to get it. Something understated, but yet it just pops the ribbon for me. I had a hat made by Falcon Park that has the pink where you have your blue and I did that as my wife is a breast cancer survivor

What a great thread and can't wait to see other themese

Beautiful kid Historyteacher. One hat/child is where all collections start... :D

Thanks TheWiserHatter, Perry, Manfred and HatsRme!

Memphislawyer: Yup, I'm Sam. Blue's one of my favorite colors as well. I like the pink for breast cancer symbolism. That was a great idea.
