I apologize if its been answered before but for those of us that live in north america is it better to order directly from Thedi or to go through Thurston?

I guess it depends on what you mean by better.. If you want the best possible price you most likely will save some money going direct to Thedi. if you want assistance with sizing, measurements, a fit jacket, access to the wisdom of the Thurston team then better would be going through them. Not to say that the Thedi team wont help you with all that but never having done it, id think communication with Thurston is a bit easier.
either way you'll end up with something special

Not meaning to contradict @Boyo, but I believe going via Thurston is actually cheapier for you US guys. Loocking at the prices TB quotes they appear to be roughly what Thedi charges in Euro, plus you would have to look at import fees when ordering directly.

Of course I could be wrong and Thedi may charge different prices for different localities (could be one reason his webpage doesn´t quote any prices), e.g. deducting VAT for non-EU orders etc...

Personally, I'd order directly from Thedi (unless you really want a fit jacket, which still guarantees nothing imo). Theodoros is a master at getting the sizing just right. I don't see how a middleman like Thurston could improve on that.

It's the conclusion that I have reached too today but didn't want to say nothing, thinking I must've done my math wrong in some way but yeah, seems to me TB is your best bet if you're in the US.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the input, and I suppose there is only one way to find out for sure. Just out of curiosity are there any details about Thedi jackets I shouldn’t overlook? At the moment trying to decide wether to keep the chest pocket is my biggest dilemma.

interesting.. I would've thought TB stood to make some money as the reseller... I stand corrected.

Not at all, @Boyo! I am sure, TB as one of Thedis biggest resellers get very favourable conditions.
Actually, I was a bit surprised about the price Theo quoted when I ordered my jacket in person in Saloniki. Of course the master himself measured me up (in more than one sense), and I basically got a bespoke jacket.

I'm not sure if it is good to shop for such things online, as There are products that can be not just expensive, but also you need to assure yourself of the size before buying. There are a lot of times when people mischoose the size online or when the site doesn't have the measurements included; that's why I advise you to buy clothes only physically. Other things you may purchase online, and I'm talking about businesses that don't have a physical shop, would be easier for them if they tried developing their online pages and https://amasty.com/shopify-website-development-service.html could help them a lot.

@LaomaStri I'm afraid but I have to disagree as far as Thedi is concerned (this is just my personal experience and opinion). You don't have to worry buying "online" from Thedi respectively after talking to the owner Theodoros who's very helpful in order to find the right size and leather for you. I gave him my body measurements and the fit of my first jacket was perfect. I've ordered 5 or 6 jackets from him in the meantime and I like them all. It only happened on one of his jacket (the 3rd or 4th one I received) that the sleeves were too long - I didn't care too much about it but Theodoros saw my post here on TFL, contacted my via WhatsApp and recommended to ship the jacket to him for free of charge sleeve alteration. Having said that I'm 100% satisfied with the jacket quality, fit, hardware, lining and customer service even if if can sometimes take a couple of days till he gets back as he's very busy. For overseas customers there is Thurston Bros (I guess Carrie is the person to contact) who are doing a great job to find the right size. I had an opportunity to visit Thedi almost three years ago (before ordering my first jacket) as I was not too far away from Thessaloniki but I decided that it's better for my wallet not to visit him ;)

The site looks really brutal and stylish, as it must be. The only thing that bothers me is micro lagging during scrolling. It means the graphical elements are not properly optimized. Google won't lift up slowly-loading pages in search ranking, so you should hire e-commerce development professionals, such as https://transformagency.com/. For the guy above - buying clothing only physically is silly, to say at least. Especially if we talk about men's jackets. None of the men buy a skin-tight leather jacket, so a jacket size can slightly vary.
