Thedi now has a website!

@Boyo it is almost worth it to get a Thedi with buttons just so you can see how masterful they are at making button holes and sewing on buttons. Thedi by far does the best and strongest version of buttons than any other maker I have experienced and that includes my Freewheelers. Thedi really puts on a button-sewing clinic with every jacket and a lot of makers would learn something.

I don't own my Thedis any longer but they are made with laser precision and wish my other jackets had their buttons sewn on like Thedi does it.

Yep! That's the reason I have 2 buttoned jacket from Thedi so far, and potentially more in the future

I totally agree regarding the perfect button holes. That's why I also have Thedi button jackets.
I also really dig following one which I already ordered around January this year with dark brown pony hair on hide but then have revised the order as I haven't seen it in person and as I wasn't sure if I really would wear it....after Theodoros released his new website I immediately sent him a WhatsApp asking him how much this jacket without hair on hide is (I think I would never wear hair on hide or grizzly jacket in general even if I like them on other persons) ....either sheepskin or distressed brown cowhide....still waiting...busy guy ;-)

@handymike I agree. I'm definitely considering this one without camo panels as I don't really like them but I'm torn regarding the chest pocket...probably the overall look would be cleaner without the chest pocket.

I agree, would look best with just the handwarmer pockets and no chest pocket. Maybe change those panels to solid dark brown pony hair? I think you could pull it off.

You have to hand it to Theodoros. He makes some fantastic designs.

That's why I now changed my mind and asked for a leather only version.

I missed those. I would indeed opt for something more conservative, maybe regular fisheyes.

I need more noticeable pockets in that jacket. I would remove that ugly chest pocket and put the typical horizontal chest pocket with tallon chain.

On a full leather all design, I think the current pockets has a very "flat" look.

We definitely need to see a full leather design to outline a more landed idea.

I would go with the grizzly version, I had in mind to do a buttoned grizzly, and this defeintely works. I do like the pocket thought, it follows the lines of the jacket and looks original

I would agree that Thedi's button sewing technique is beyond equal. The leather buttons on my shawl collar canvas jacket are just gorgeous.

Hmm..Looking closely... I think it would look good in all leather....but that same matching chest pocket shape on each side of the button front would fit right in with the overall angled design and look sharp IMO.

I would lose the chest pocket. There's a lot going on with the jacket, so I think that simplifying it would make it look better.

It could work well in two tone leather.

I must admit that Thedi's prices are a complete mystery to me. If you buy a stock 'Hektor' from Thurston you pay $1299 / €1065 euro

If you buy the same stock jacket from one of theodoros stockists you pay a lot more. (€1753 or $2137)

If I order this jacket directly from Thedi I'll pay something inbetween. Let's say €1300 or $1585.

It doesn't make sense. I would expect a Thedi to be more expensive in the USA because of shipping, currency, customs and the middle man. Yet, at Thurston Thedi is almost in the same price range as Aero. But here in Europe, Thedi is much more expensive than Aero. I can buy two stock jackets from Aero for the price of one Thedi.

When talking to the owner of UBS Classics in Spring 2019 he told me that Thedi are increasing the jacket prices every year and if I remember correctly the price for the cross button buffalo jacket used to be in a range of 1300€ and then he had to increase to 1799€ last year (1753€ is due to the temporarily reduced German VAT due to C-19) - I think on the one hand Thedi has really increased the prices in Europe due to the fact that there are many people who are willing to pay this price and on the other hand UBS Classics increased their margin due to the same reason (the cross button jackets were immediately sold out about 2 - 2.5 years ago)....that's just a guess. Another reason could be that the quantities purchased by individual shops in Europe are smaller as there are many shops and all of them are in a similar price range. Whereas there is only one store in the US with a huge market and moreover Thurston Bros. guarantees Thedi to purchase a much higher qty of jackets and they simply negotiated a great deal with Thedi taking also into account that they not only offer Thedi but also Aero, Vanson, etc. and that the jackets should at least be in a similar price range.
