I have had four Thedis, now own 3. In terms of color, they are all pretty amazing. For me, the Cocoa Buffalo Atlas had the richest color, followed closely by the lighter brown Buffalo in the Aegean. I also have a shawl collar in Cognac, and yes it’s a little bit orange but still cool as hell and at least based on Red Devil’s Hektor, it does darken with sun and aging. Also have a dark brown Evander in goat which is easier and less varied in color than the other three.

if you live in Seattle, TB is a no brainer! Maybe you can set up an appointment for fi jackets and make it much more efficient? Good luck w the Thedi! Amazing jackets.

I also live in Seattle and recently spoke to Carrie. She is not doing in person fitting anymore, but the fit jacket for me came basically overnight, so except for the cost of shipping back and forth is still very convenient.

Thanks for helping out! I think I'm in agreement about the Cocoa Buffalo; the Atlas is the first jacket I saw that color on, and I liked it immediately. It's rich and unique, but it's also classic and timeless in my opinion. And the light brown also seems timeless and classic, but it's modernized by Thedi's jacket styles. Can't really go wrong with either. Now that I've seen the Bruciato horsehide, it's in the running as well. There's a premium for that one, and I just need to decide whether I want to make that investment. Thanks again for the help. I need to look into TB a little deeper. I've exchanged a few emails with them already, but what I really need to do is weigh the cost/benefit of working with them vs. going directly to Thedi. Not sure how much of a middleman markup there is, if any. I already have quotes from Theodoros, so I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask TB what they would charge, etc. Either way, I'm going for it, and I'm excited to be investing in artistic quality...

That really is beautiful. I've thought that about the cocoa since I first saw it. The subtle shade gradations throughout the jacket only make it richer. I have decisions to make!

I see one color named mahogany buffalo which i love most. but after I emailed theid, I was told it is no longer available. I I'm not sure whether it is just the color you call light brown？？？

i can't say for sure whether that's light brown or some other variation, but it is also a great color. i still haven't made my order. trying to decide whether to keep this schott p613s or sell it and order a thedi!

There is also Espresso buffalo, which is more chocolate brown than reddish brown. It's also hand waxed and reliced, however it's not hand dyed as far as I know. It has gradations of color as well.

I think it's unfortunate that Thurston won't do in person anymore. I visited one time before the neighbors gas main blew up, and it really helps to be able to discuss things directly as you are trying things out. You'd think they'd at least have a limited 'by appointment' sort of thing.
