Mandarin,
What are your thoughts on the olive satin lining? I've got a Thedi crosszip on order and was going to go w/the black cotton drill, but this seems interesting. Does it seem durable to you? How warm is it?

Erik, may I comment your question while Mandarin keeps silence?)
Cotton drill is more durable option in comparison with satin usually, though satin has its own advantages.
I love olive or mustard cotton drill for linings of brown/russet/tan leather shells.
Mandarin, your Thedi's jacket looks superb, what a beautiful piece of art! Very like Theodoros leather works, he's a leather wizard indeed!

Hi Erik
The olive satin lining (maybe rayon?) is very soft and comfortable, and its breathability makes it ideal for wearing in the summer. As for the durability, it feels consistent enough, although it doesn't compare with the heavy duty nylon used by LW or Langlitz. That said, I'm sure Theodoros chooses his materials with great care, but only time can tell how it will last.

I agree with @Lebowski about cotton drill. It might be more suitable for a crosszip, especially if you intend to wear it all year round. Cotton will keep the heat more efficiently.

Mandarin, for summer wearing satin lining looks to be a good choice. Once again, the whole jacket looks fantastic!

Any more thoughts on this jacket, @Mandarin, after two months of wear?
After two months of confinement, I didn't have as many occasions to wear jackets as usual, but I mut say this is the one i wore the most, especially since the weather got warm again. As a matter of fact, I wear it at home as well, just to get used to it. And although it feels like it always belonged to me, it still is very tight, compared to my other jackets. I guess that's the Thedi style.

Still to this day one of the most perfect jackets I've seen on TFL (imho). Might end up ordering a copy for myself someday. How has the jacket aged this year, @Mandarin?

Apart from superficial scratching and scuffing, it doesn't seem to age that much. There's no fading or darkening. It does have a more natural luster though. When I received it, the sheen was uniformly spread. Now, whatever sheen remains seems to have been caused by natural friction while other places look slightly more mat. Although I don't wear it daily (for the simple reason I have too many other jackets to chose from), it definitely remains one of my favorites.

Any updates on the aging of this beautiful jacket? Does it show more of its teacore over the years?

Nothing much to observe since last time. The aging process is very slow. But, again, I don't wear the jacket daily, so there's not much erosion to be seen on stress areas like the cuffs or shoulders. Some areas show a slight fading in color, but only in the less visible side of the sleeves, as if a slightly different quality of leather had been chosen for these particular parts. Otherwise, the surface has not changed much. I'm always surprised at the toughness of the hide. Another thing is the fit: every time I put it on, it seems very tight, but within a few minutes of wear, you forget all about it, and it feels like a second skin. I love it.
