How did they go about the fit process for the Thedi?

We just discussed how I wanted it to fit and went off the dimensions. Because I've bought enough from them, we're pretty comfortable knowing where I need to be, so it worked out pretty well for me. The sleeve and back length are identical to my Aero Cafe Racers and from seeing the fit on Wade in the L, I was able to nail down that I wanted the XL for room for armor. (The XL also had a better sleeve length for me.)

Hows the leather developing as far as grain goes, pawnie? Like the j100 styling of this one.

Not a huge amount of difference so far. The HH on this jacket was very soft to begin with, and those seem to take the most time to develop additional grain. I will take some updated pics tomorrow when I've got some sunlight. I do like the jacket and it gets a pretty good amount of wear.

Just had a bit of a root around the Thedi website. Interesting range. I see they started in 1970; interesting to see how they've incorporated some earlier design elements while clearly not necessarily going the whole hog in reproducing earlier styles in every jacket. Seems to me also that they've got quite a mix of influences gonig on - some of the styles have a hint of a very British or European look to my eye, while others are very American. They do have a few jackets which are obviously shooting for the Perfecto style, though they look like they've given them a more subdued vibe overall. I found this one interesting:

Not a jacket I can particularly see myself in, however I find it interesting how they've combined elements of, to my eye, an American-style D pocket, a Lewis Monza, and those stretch panels at the sides that I vaguely recall appearing in bike jackets in the late eighties / early nineties. I think it's interesting that they've managed to make it 'work' as a whole. To my eye, it has a sort of early seventies vibe overall.

This one:

...has much more of an overall vintage vibe (I love the boots pictured with it!). A style that's become very popular in the last few years in enthusiast circles, since first Himmel in the US, then Aero and subsequently others in Europe started to remake. Never seen a Thedi before, wonder why they've not gotten the same attention?

The other thing I found interesting in the website were the glimpses of a couple of interesting looking militry themed jackets, though I couldn't see a link to anywhere they were selling them (do they sell them elsewhere uner another brand, maybe?).

Looks like a B7 here, to the left, which might be flanking something A2-sh?

Nice looking A2 here, though the zipper looks awful chunky for the design:

@Edward, my understanding is that the owner was once the head of European design for Harley Davidson. What I like about some of his work is that he mixes and matches different elements on his jackets.

Absolutely, I think that mix'n'match is the strength of the design. Whether I can see myself in all of them or not, I like seeing a variety out there. Always nice when somebody brings something different to the market, keeps it fresh.

Resurrecting this thread to simply express my heartfelt gratitude to @pawineguy for selling me this absolutely stunning jacket. It fits me pretty darn well I think and the hide is really something else. Chris was incredibly fair with his price and the jacket shipped the same day I sent him the funds. My hat is tipped in his direction. Thanks so much!!

I love it man. I'll get some better pics up soon. One thing is for sure...this won't be my last Thedi. Theo does one helluva job.

Great pick up Ton!
It's hard to explain the difference between Thedi's HH and the others, but once you have it on, man it is great! I love mine, and yours looks fantastic!
