Are there any pictures of those Prison Blues jeans from the back? I like the double-knee they have, but the site is terrible about photos. I'd like to see back pocket size and where they're placed.

Sounds excellent - is the "boot cut" they do flared a bit, or is it more liked the Wranglers, i.e. wide enough to get a boot in? At that sort of money if they have a decent zip, they're well impressive.

Our local supermarket brand does some surprisingly nice jeans for this sort of money, but whereas the ladies' range is broad fit wise, the men's is still all hip-level and skinny legged.

I believe they do sell the boot cut version as well or they automatically fit boots. These are specifically work jeans.
I recommend buying from Correction Connection over other stores. The customer service is excellent.

Just a word of warning, Gustin’s main jeans factory in San Francisco is running slower than usual. I ordered 23oz black x black jeans in late November and still waiting:

I’m ok with the wait on these due to unforeseen circumstances, but I’ve also backed the dark olive whipcord jeans and there was no mention of production delays - though I’m sure they will be sewn-up in the same factory.

I have received a few items recently. I think they are pretty decent quality overall.

I waited 3 months to receive two selvage shirts BOTH with crooked pockets. I won't even be able to wipe my behind with them.
I have emailed these photos to the Gustin Team. Hence I have cancelled all following orders with Gustin. Better to trust the Japanese than Americans.

Typical American Retail from the way I see it. I just sent them a letter chewing them out. These pics are going ALL OVER the internet.
They better refund my money and cancel all the other orders I have with them or that shit better show up in pristine condition.
PROOF that I am better off buying from the Japanese.

I’ve noticed my pandemic orders have been slower than normal - it sounds like quality control is also slipping.

Sure I am definitely giving them a chance. They can refund me and send me a pre paid shipping label. I'd be happy to oblige.
Anything less I won't budge. I have no mercy for junk products. That's why I spend a premium and wait patiently if need be. Companies can blunder on their own dime.
I have no patience with junk merchandise. We as consumers have suffered through years of Asian made junk. If a company wants to sell made in the USA at a premium they better give the premium they charge for.

Very Unique looking. Pike Brothers has some that look somewhat similar but these take the cake for sure .

Not an expert on this, but I have gathered that optical brighteners were standard in detergents in the US at that point. I'm not sure to what extent, or what else was going into detergent formulas at that time, or anything about detergent really.

Back in the 70's and 80's we used to wash our jeans with the white colored clothing....bleach and all.

I seriously doubt the detergent makes a difference. Back then it was all about the bleach mixed with hot water and white clothing which caused the fading. Be careful though because new jeans will bleed color in hot water. I would wash the jeans separately once or twice in cold water before I put them in with the whites and bleach.
TIDE detergent is very common in America. Chances are I was using it during the 80's
