Thank you, I did mention in another thread how I came to have two identical, quite remarkable really.

And yes the fit is spot on, as we you know most of these early suits the waist lines are normally very small, just so happens I am a 32inch waist so it fitted great.

Made-to-measure three-button, two-piece, dated 1946:

Nice tone-on-tone blue and gray micro-herringbone three-piece; '39 union tag, probably early '40s:

Three splendid suits. I especially like the black one. I'm not normally a fan of the two button jacket, but I like the way it shows up the waistcoat.
Are these recent purchases?

Found this suit on Etsy last year, just getting around to posting photos of it here.

Navy wool double breasted suit with a light blue herringbone pattern from Macintosh. Label dates the suit to September, 1941. The construction is everything you'd expect from Macintosh. The jacket has gorgeous lapels, broad shoulders and an immaculately curvaceous waist. The trousers have a bit of a fish-tail to their back, and dropped belt loops. They taper past the knee.

I must admit, I am jealous of anyone owning the aforementioned suits along with anyone that possesses a 32 inch waist... LOL

But seriously, I would love to see this thread get going again, hopefully soon I will find a vintage suit to post herein.

Best regards

I mis-posted these in the 30s suit thread when inquiring about their age.

A 1940's ivory dinner jacket from After Six by Rudo Sumrwear. Chest measures 46", so it's approximately a size 42.
