The Stetson St. Regis homburg - what can you tell me?

I’d think this thread would have more entries, but I suppose most folks go to the homburg or Stetson dress hat section.

Here’s a $69 buy it now I made, one I had not seen before: a Royal St Regis, Vitafelt (41-46). It just came in and went straight to Ignacio downstairs for a cleaning.

Good catch, Daniel. The St. Regis is one I still need to add to the collection. $69 is a very good price: they usually go higher than that.

Have you seen a Royal St Regis so far? All the ones I have seen have been Royal Deluxe and manufactured after 1948.

Does anyone here at the Lounge know why Stetson used the name:St. Regis for their Homburgs? Just wondering.
And... I’m new here and was also wondering why my avatar is sideways.
I couldn’t do anything to fix it.

This seems older. I thought much older but then I read somewhere that the name st.regis started since 1948, so if that's correct end of 40s early 50s?

St. Regis in dark blue. Based on the "clean look" of the reorder tag, looks like this is a more recent hat? Maybe?

Two wonderful additions, Panos (never knew of this thread to be honest). I like the unusual colour combination of the first one.

Some Stetson Homburgs I bought last year. I'll show them each clockwise starting at left front. The 1st hat is NOT labelled a St Regis. I don't know if it was made before the St Regis name was invented or what else could be the case, but this hat is at least very early 50's or back into the 40's. Has stars on both liner and sweatband. I suspect this is a 40's hat

2nd hat. Probably dates about 1953 or so. Has stars in liner, maple leaf in sweatband. Has new style mftg tags.

Late 1940's Stetson St Regis. I think this is one of the early hats with the St Regis name because St Regis is stamped separately in the front of the sweatband instead of with the rest of the Stetson name and logo. (In a later post, Just Daniel estimates ca 1946-48 for these Royal Stetson Deluxe named hats.)
