i too am a beer-hater. i've tried to like it, i promise!

Beer is an acquired taste, much like my beloved Pernod, which I've recently gotten a friend into.

But we're getting very :eek:fftopic: here! Why is it that so many of our threads end up being about liquor? lol  [huh]

The only beer I like, is that of the root variety. Barq's in particular... then Mug... then A&W... Dad's not too much... too licorice-y.

I have never even heard of that... I will have to try to find it here in Arz and give it a try!

Miss Lolita, if you've never had Weinhard's root beer, you don't know what you're missing.

Never will understand how people can drink something that looks like "output" rather than "input"...

Doesn't help that Henry's might be a regional thing, it's bottled in the Portland area. Only comes in real glass longnecks, too... (the kind that make good targets on the fence/bench, or good attitude-adjusters... lol )

I checked, and their alcoholic side has distributors down in your area, but couldn't find anything about their non-alcoholic brews. (IMO, their cream sodas are pretty good too... but then again, I do weird things like down shots of lime juice or marinate french-fries in vinegar before eating 'em, so my tastes may not be reliable... )

I'll order you a chilled glass of a fine wine...."merlot" perhaps.

If you ever have the chance - try Thomas Kemper Root Beer... They make it at their brewery up in Washington - along with some mighty tasty real stuff....

BTW - Nice Avatar... ;)

Oh really? I dig Reed's. You've got me sold.
Yeah, I just learned when I looked up the page that they're the same company. Not entirely unsurprising. :)

Virgil's is the best commercial root beer I've ever had.

Made with true ingredients.
Indeed. But if you ever go to Medieval or Renaissance fairs, they'll often have old fashioned sarsaparilla available in bottles. At least at the ones here. Very tasty in their own right.
