The right eye shadow shade

Hi every one!
I trying to work out the right eye shadow shade to widern my eyes a little, they naturally dark green and come over very very dark in a photo making my eyes too really small , I been wereing pinka and greys, I do not like Blue as I feel it's very 70's maybe that's just me.

Any help with a new combination is welcome.

Browns and pinks are good shades for green eyes. Try using a light cream/very light colour on the inside of your eyelids and grade the colour getting darker outwards and fill right to the outside of your eyeball socket (I hope that makes sense).

Eyeliner can also make your eyes look bigger, but since you said you have small eyes it's usually recommended to do a thin line of eyeliner as opposed to the thick 60s eyeliner look.

A simple trick I've used before is simply fake eyelashes. On camera they immediately make your eyes look bigger.

Purple is supposed to work with green. I know someone with bright but light green eyes who insists on wearing same shades in green and blue and I don't think it works for her at all so I don't think you're missing out on anything if you don't like blue. But I agree about the browns and pinks. Plums?

I also like bronze on green eyes. Something like MAC Amber Lights as a wash on the lid, with a darker brown in the outer V will open your eyes out and make the colour pop.

Also, think about getting a white eyeliner and lining your lower waterline. It can really widen eyes out. I tend not to put eyeliner or mascara on my lower lid/lashes because I think it makes my eyes look wider.

In that picture it looks like you've taken the colour all the way up to your brows; I think a lighter, very neutral colour from the crease to brow would look better.

Best to stick to matte eyeshadows - eyes can get lost in shimmery ones, plus they can be very ageing I think, exaggerating any lines and loose skin. For an 'open eye' look try a very pale or white shadow just as far as the socket crease and then a very thin black liquid line with a little flick. Subtlety is the key with shadow - anything heavy can look draggy - but a little liquid liner will make the best of any eyeshadow.

It's very pale and completely matte and compliments my grey/blue eyes and pale skin. If blue isn't your colour I'd still recommend her matte shadow range - not cheap but amazing quality and last for ages.

Yes, this is a standard trick of makeup artists. You can also use some around the inner corner of your eye and blend it in, which helps open up the eye.

I agree. I usually use a light shade as a base up to my brow and a darker color to just past my eyelid crease. It does help open up the eye a bit. However, I'd try to keep that "darker" color in the neutral spectrum and not too dark.

I find that a little shimmer right under the brow on the brow bone helps open up the eye a bit and acts as a highlighter. All shimmer tends to look a bit 80s though.

I coming around to been a blonde, I had that wig for a couple of years and it's never really worked until now for me
