I am selling my Real McCoy’s Buco J100 size 38 in Shinki tea core. Jacket is in perfect condition. The horsehide has great grain and is just starting to break in. The leather, lining, and zippers are all in excellent condition. I had bought this in the spring and have only tried on And worn inside. The fit is a bit snug for me and is the reason I am selling.

Yes, I fixed it. 24in is the length. It’s your typical size 38 McCoys Buco J100. Thanks for the correction.

Curious what your chest measurement is since you mentioned it was too snug. Looks like an awesome jacket, but I am worried it would be too tight for me as well. I am 40 inch chest measurement, but generally wear a 38 suit jacket.

I’m a 41 measured relaxed. I can zipper it, but it’s snug if I would ride my motorcycle with it.

I've been considering getting a Real Mccoy Buco J100 for few years, so far haven't had a chance to try it on but my size is probably between 36 & 38.
I like it snug but have heard different opinions regarding how stretchable this leather is.
* Do you think the Shinki veg tanned horsehide would stretch further & fit better if you gave it some more time?
* Was the reduction in sleeve length significant due to break-in creases?
* You mentioned it was only worn indoor, I guess you might not be able to tell if it would shrink after soaked in the rain
Any comments regarding this leather would be appreciated

I do not believe it would have stretched or relaxed much with more wear. It’s sturdy leather without much give. The sleeves did shrink from creasing and bunching. But the sleeves fit me fine, it was just tight in the chest area. I would love to find one in a size 40.

Nope. Please don't think of any leather as stretchable. While leather jacket may relax enough at places to give you an impression that the hide has stretched - such as at the elbows, etc. - this isn't something to rely upon and take into consideration when buying a leather garment.
Always buy a jacket in your size.

For me the difficult part is to decide which size to go with, 36 or 38 - when my chest size is more like a 37 (based on manufacturer size guide).
Initially I was thinking of going with the slightly smaller size & rely on flexibility of the leather to achieve a snug fit.
Maybe I should try both sizes on instead of relying on manufacturer size guide only.

Well, if you can zip it up and move in it to a degree you still relatively comfortable, there's nothing wrong with getting a smaller jacket. You'll get used to it & the jacket will mold around you to a degree - Just make sure not to buy something you can't wear out of the box, thinking this is something that's going to change. That's all I mean.
