This resin version originally sold for "only" $92,000 in 2000. Looks to have appreciated in value, at least according to its current owner. It was last put up for auction in 2008, but failed to reach its $250,000 reserve. Wonder if it'll fair better this year?

Leonardo DiCaprio was among a group of buyers who made a winning bid of $325,000 on Friday for the falcon statuette in the 1941 film-noir classic "The Maltese Falcon," according to a spokeswoman for Guernsey's auction house
