Yes, quite a few (grey) in various sizes were listed over a period several weeks. That's my recollection anyway.

I know you're not asking, but I had the same thought. Obviously, the name should accurately describe the color in question. But chalky white doesn't sound very pleasing.

To me the hat in the picture provided looks tan or something. But assuming it is white, eggshell or cream or something tasty (agreeable) would be preferable from a marketing perspective. Or so it seems to me.

For those that really do like a higher crown.

I was thinking about doing another color of the MD1 (and I'm sure I will), yet got caught up in the idea of doing a good early 30s hat to spec. Wider pre war brown sweatband, very tall untapered crown and slight curl to the brim.

Just like the ones I keep trying to find yet can't unless I get it custom made. This is one of the prototypes. What do you think?

No it's not purple... just my iphone taking a few quick shots of this prototype.

I might do it with a bound edge and a two inch ribbon. What do you think?

Looks great! A real 1930s-proportioned hat with a tall crown, medium brim and a wide ribbon would be wonderful. I vote for a binding on the brim, or at least an overwelt.
