The Perfect Set

On my quest to find the “perfect” way to set my hair and the best type of curling device to use, I have accumulated quite the collection of rollers and such over the years. Wouldn’t you know it that the thing that I consistently do now is just simple rag curls :)

Here’s my perfect set: part damp hair on the side or down the middle, work water/Lottabody combo into each section and brush through before rolling onto the rags... one or two rags per side and four in the back along the nape of my neck... cover with hair net and sleep on them. Brush out the next day, style... and magic! They are incredibly comfortable to sleep in and give very authentic results - my two most important criteria. Also, they’re ideal for my hair length (about ten inches past my shoulders).

So, gals... if you have found it, what is your perfect set?

I'm intrigued CookieMuffin. I've never tried using rags. Do you have any pics of the set or the finished product?

I do have some photos :) These are of my earlier tries since I tend not to take before/after shots anymore unless I try something a little different.

Hi Cookiemuffin welcome to the FL!:)

I don't know if you've seen it or not but we have a tonnes of stuff about setting patterns here on this thread http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?t=27933&highlight=setting+pattern+central

Its a fab thread, also you could try the "Show us your Hairdos" thread.

Both are fabulously informative threads and better than any book I've ever seen!

Thanks for welcoming me formally. I’ve actually been on here for a long time (but just registered about a year ago). I just don’t comment terribly often unless I feel I really have something to add to a discussion - it’s a bit scary coming out of the shadows.
I love both of the threads you suggested; the ladies here are incredibly talented. I thought I’d start this one since it might be able to show everyone’s “best of”, if you will.
