Like Bowen, I noticed how many good photos have been lost. It is nice to see this thread as there are so many beautiful examples out there, most not in my size[emoji26]. Here is my Resistol Dalworth.

Two Resistol Beaver 25's from different decades, neither with any other designation. The newer one with a men's store liner.

A Wormser 10 Star/3X. Someone had already posted one of these but the pics are gone. 3" brim that you could drive nails with.
View attachment 113055 View attachment 113056
A 2 1/4" brim Churchill Beaver 25 "Longview".

Edit: I've also got a couple store brands that would fall into this category. The Cowlot Beaver 25 and the Levine Hat Co. Beaver 20.
You rock this style Greg. These are glowing examples of the OR movement.

I just love it when old threads come back to life. There is so much knowledge going back so far that it’s ashamed wonderful threads fall away in much the same way wonderful hats have. Ironic.
So i’m going to try and jump start some when i see the opportunity. Maybe some old repetitive type threads can be combined by the moderators. Just a thought.
Be well. Bowen

I see the Shudde Bros Houston still has ??? by it since the beginning of the thread.
So here’s mine:
Shudde Bros Houston Pure Beaver.
Pretty pristine, 3” brim, 3/16” trim ribbon, 3/8” ribbon bow. Very nice fairly stiff felt.
Looks like an OR to me.
Be well. Bowen
Ps: i have a Stetson Open Trail that dimensionally is like the OR but it sports a 1” ribbon so i don’t know if it should be on the list.????
B
The ??? is because we don't have a model name. Shudde Bros is in Houston but Houston is not the hat model name. Shudde Bros made OR style models (house model) but also refurbed original OR's & put their sweatbands in. If we get a model name, the ??? will get replaced.

Greetings All:
Here’s another that i think fits the OR criteria.
Frank Stack Hat
2 3/4” brim, 1/8” binding, 3/8” ribbon bow.
This hat’s felt is extremely soft and is “floppy” like a Knox Twenty and Mallory The Dallas.
I just wish if fit. Arggh!!
Great great examples fellow loungers. Thanks
Be well. Bowen

Thanks gtdean for the clarification. That makes sense. You can probably add a Stack??? now. Great thread. Thanks for your efforts.

Now that IS my size........;);)
M

Here is one I almost forgot.....a Portis...no model name....just "Sterling" which for them is a quality level of the felt. It does not fit me (it is a size 7) but I would not part with it as it is a 50's model sold locally. In rough shape........it is still cool........
Note how the windcord button is tucked under the ribbon. This is the second hat I have found this done, and I own them both........I would guess this may have been more common back in the day to secure the cord than we would guess.....
Best,
M

Hey Mark: funny you should mention the wind trolley button. The Stack i posted was the same but being a “smart guy” ha i spent about a half hour with forceps and tweezers tying a tiny loop in the end. Dohh!
Simple beats smart sometimes.
Great Portis et al.
Be well. Bowdn

Spent several hours last weekend traveling around to a number of antique malls and didn't find even one decent hat. This weekend, I went to the local indoor flea (trash) market and came away with this near perfect Open Road clone for $3.00.

From what I can find, the maker is Charles Levy & Sons or sometimes Charles Levy's Sons.
