Here is an Alexander 4 X 4. Nope, I'm not kidding on the model name. Its on the tag. Pretty nice felt on this one. It also has the hidden stitching sweatband.

I've found references to G.W. Alexander Hat Co. in Reading, PA from as early as 1886 to late 40's. Interesting that we haven't seen many of these hats.

They worked for Stetson, finishing hats, until sometime in 1964.

I have this Resistol OR clone that I picked up on ebay a while back, but the specs don't seem to match any other of the Resistols mentioned in this thread. As best I can tell, the open crown height seems to be about 5 1/4", the brim width is 2 1/2, which makes this smaller than a San Antonio, no?
