I just lost this one out of wanting to place my bid too last minute:

It would have been my first true vintage dress too. :(

Very pretty, Adele! But don't worry - you'll find another lovely lace dress like it soon. Were you sniping manually or using a program? If you were doing it manually, you may find a program a better option.

Not my typical era and I knew this one would go for more than I was willing to pay but I watched it out of curiousity. Large size 1950's flocked and glittered dress with a few condition problems--belt not included ;). $1026.01

That is actually INSANE!!!!!!!!!!

I've been very good lately and have laid right off Ebay. I feel sane again.

Oh, it is indeed insanity! I don't know what's going on with ebay lately. I haven't found anything in my price range since early last fall.

It seems to be wildly erratic in the 20s category. I went through a week or two earlier in the year when I thought I'd never get a bargain again, and decided that the stock must finally be coming to an end and there were fewer and fewer attics to be raided. Then it swung around again, and I'm picking up some lovely dresses for less than $50. I'm also seeing some very nice dresses going for less than I believe they're worth, or passing in without a single bid at the starting price or not reaching the reserve. On the flip side, I missed out on a pretty gold lace dress that I bid what I thought was an extravagent amount for and far more than it was worth (but it happened to be exactly what I wanted). I was a bit surprised when I was outbid - evidently someone with deeper pockets than me decided it was precisely what they wanted as well, and between us we pushed it to a ridiculous amount. I wasn't entirely sorry to miss out on it in the end as a result.

I was indeed doing it manually. I think I read about programs a few months back here. Nonetheless, I hope you're right about finding another dress. That would be beyond fantastic!

Me too, I've pretty much given up looking at Ebay within the past few months since everything I've had my eye on has sold for outrageous prices. Gone are the days when I could get a 40s dress for £18. I literally have no room for any more clothes anyway so it's probably a good thing!

$330!!!!!!!!! or £167.00 !!!!!!

It was too big for me anyway, but even if it were the right size I would never risk that kind of money I mean what if it didn't fit!!!!!

That said I sincerely hope that one of the Lounge Ladies has snapped this one!!

Seriously, I have a flocked blue and black apron identical to that dress. I collect fancy hostess aprons. That one is my very favorite. Noone shall ever get it. :D

I missed these Remix wedges that only went for $2.99. I wrote the seller, but she never bothered to write me back with any information about size or a length measurement - she hadn't provided any of that information in the listing.

If those are the ones I'm thinking of, I asked right after they were listed and she said size 38. I think that's a 6 or 6 1/2. She probably got tired of the questions and didn't bother to edit her listing or just make one of the questions visible.
