Looks like brothers, c. 1855 - 1860. When mom received the picture back home she censored it because she didn't like seeing her boys playing cards & possibly drinking whiskey.

Looks like brothers again, dated 1856. The one on the left is holding a tambourine. The older intellectual brother on the right is reading the October 1856 issue of Photographic And Fine Arts Journal.

Tomorrow, the Army-Navy football game will be played for the 130th time. President Truman holds the record for attending the most games between the two rivals. Truman attended the game from 1945 to 1950 and again in 1952. In 1951, he sent Supreme Court Justice Fred M. Vinson in his place.

Because he attended so many, Truman didn’t always switch sides at halftime as was the tradition. In 1948, Truman sat on the Navy’s side of the field and got a good laugh out of one of the signs in the crowd: “Gallup picks Army.”

As Deadwood grew & expanded into the "burbs" Mount Moriah Cemetery was moved to the mountain top sometime before 1900. This was what Hickok's 2nd grave looked like when Calamity Jane returned in 1903.

And as it appears today after her death; Hickok on the left, Calamity Jane on the right.

The vase from her grave has been stolen a couple of times.

William Carr (22) entered Folsom Prison on Dec 15, 1895 sentenced to 8 yrs after a second conviction for Burglary. He had served a prior conviction at San Quentin. His former occupation had been as a Shoemaker.
