Of course! Bill Monroe was a lot younger, when he was mentoring Skaggs during his teens. Oh yeah, Thile is absolutely one of the very best. I'm still a great fan of Sam Bush and David Grisman (when not too jazzy), though

Just saw Thile in Chapel Hill. What a virtuoso - from hip bluegrass to Bach. He's sort of third generation elite, after Monroe and then Grisman.
