It's www.shorpy.com, a vintage photo website.
Shorpy is a vintage photography site that post's images from the Libary of Congress collection of images along with a few found images. Is "shorpy" the name of a specific photographer or gallery? What constitutes "non-shorpy?" Is it anything before color photography?
Anyway, these are always great to see. Josh, your collection is FANTASTIC. I have saved several images onto my computer. Unbelievable stuff.
Good work Josh!!

Good Job Rusty
You are right Robert. I believe that it is a hold over from the 'western' days.Great pleats in those jackets too and note that a Cattlemen's Crease in not a Cowboy's Crease.
Not much point of a lunch counter if you can't wear your hat. It's supposed to be a democratic institution - at least since the early '60s anyway. Thanks Ed, I love these old photos.
Also notice they have their hats on at the lunch counter.
Found on-line. It's not a campaign hat, but it reminds me of one. No surprise, eh?
