Insurance agent Jack Monger, Ozark, Missouri, 1959. A year later he would be elected Christian County Sheriff. The beard was for Ozark’s centennial.

Sometimes I look for further information on photos that are posted.
This one was one of them, I found some interesting things.

Jack Anderson Monger, age 89 of Nixa, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. He was born August 11, 1925 in Oldfield, Missouri to Joe and Cora (Anderson) Monger.

On March 27, 1944, he began proudly serving his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1946.

Jack was literally a “Jack” of all trades. He operated an insurance office, served as Christian County Sheriff, was a successful realtor, and worked in construction. He loved to travel, hunt, and fish. For those who knew Jack, it was obvious he was not a procrastinator. He wanted things done immediately and done correctly. He never sat around and was always on the go. His outgoing personality was a admirable trait and he loved visiting with everyone.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, eleven siblings, and a grandson, Dallas Wayne Lightfoot.

He is survived by son Johnny Monger and wife Kathy; daughter Jackie Lightfoot, daughter Judy Lile and husband Mike, all of Clever, Missouri. Jack is additionally survived by two stepchildren, John Smith of Nixa and Lucia Cann of Springfield; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a number of individuals that were very close to his heart.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 26, 2015 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Jamie Bilyeu officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening, March 25, 2015 in the funeral home.''
