When I was real young there was an old woman who made her living by selling popcorn & hot peanuts on the town square every Friday night, Saturday & Saturday night. She had a small Cretors Popcorn wagon about like one of these. She was too old & too small to pull it so she bought a mule my grandfather had trained to pull it with. She would walk along side the mule & guide it, but I remember her riding bareback othertimes when it wasn't harnessed to the wagon.

The ones I remember the most were the ice cream trucks .

First thing you'd hear was the tune as the ice cream truck came down the neighborhood streets.
I don't see this or milk trucks making
deliveries anymore!

Four or five summers ago when gasoline was high I would see a Schwan's Ice Cream truck that would set up in the parking lot of a nearby mall & let the customers burn their gas coming to him. I thought it was pretty smart marketing. I rarely see a Schwan's truck anymore.

We can't forget this guy!

Although before my time, it woulda given me nightmares if I had seen this as a kid.

Clowns and 50s girl's toy dolls with those creepy eyes also gave me the jitters!
I have five sisters... I should know!
But being the oldest and only brother...
they always spoiled me with love and
affection.

Love the pups!
Although I'm sensitive to appreciate
Lizzie's feeling towards Mobil....
Especially the pegasus signs.

If she was my sister... I woulda told
her some funny story, sing a silly song
to make her laugh and not be scared.
