There's an article in the Chronicle today by Richard Torregrossa, author of Cary Grant: A Celebration of Style. Here's an excerpt:

"Although there will always be those who dress down, men's style is looking up, and there are signs of it everywhere, from new men's fashion magazines to online forums, such as Fedora Lounge and Style Forum, where members post questions and comments about everything from how to match your socks with your pants and shoes to the intricacies of double-needle stitching and the new lightweight fabrics in bespoke tailoring."

Great article, thanks for posting it.

I hope, and believe, the author is right about men's style experiencing a renaissance. It would sure be a nice change from the Uber-Slacker and Metro-Sexual ( shudder)of the 90's.

I'm a grown-up and not afraid to dress like one!
