Hi

O.K. how did the man drink beer? There must have been foam an inch thick in his stache when he drank one.

later

Protective Drink-Proof Snood of course! Standard issue after the great mess drip disaster of 1877.

You can see one at about 20 seconds in the clip.

PS: on a serious note those are some great moustaches Daniel! I've always thought Foch's one particularly impressive.

The snood Fry is wearing is only for wear at night, to help preserve the shape of the moustache. They're pretty much non-existant now.

For drinking men could use a moustache cup:

There were also detachable moustache guards:

For those who were really concerned there were moustache spoons:

I have two pottery coffee mugs I had custom made with guards, and an antique cup and saucer (which has sadly cracked and needs replacing). I want to get a detachable guard. I'll add a spoon to my collection, but more as a curiosity.

But lacking all those things, yes, you're an inch deep in foam. Tipping the head back a bit when drinking helps, and having extra napkins or a handkerchief to hand.

Of course Oregon Wild Hair offers a nice stoneware moustache mug.

Or maybe something without a logo on it. Something a tad more refined too for those moments. May have to keep my eye out on ebay for one.

Cheers!

Trotsky, a funky moustache with a funky head of hair. Like that guy from Ancient Aliens.

Stalin. A great moustache connected to an anal nut bag.

And speaking of anal nut bags, Adolf before he trimmed his stache, wigged out and tried to take over the world.

Just think, if he kept the pointy stache and became a surrealist, he could have been competition for Dali. He could have been celebrated as a nutty artist instead of thought of as a monster of the first order.

Cheers!
