I'm going to run as far away from this thread as I can.

Age and love will eventually catch up with me (say it ain't so!) :p

I think that still qualifies are married if you got a license and the paperwork, right? You just begged the government. :p ;)

Nope. We INFORMED them we were getting married. No begging at all was done. No requests. No "please bless us." Just a "we are going to get married. Just thought we'd tell you."

Gee, I remember going down to get the license. It took so long and was so convoluted with paperwork that it was much worse than anything I had to do otherwise.
I am glad to see that times have changed. Either that or I must have went down to the office on a run on licenses day. I don't remember it that way though. It wasn't that long ago---or was it? [huh] :p

Regards,

J

Must have gone more smoothly after you figured out you were in the tractor line at the BMV eh? :p

Oh no. The DMV out here would take ten times longer.
Last time I had to stand in line there I brought a lawn chair, card table and a book. They were not amused but everyone else there was. That was just to get a change of ownership for my motorcycle. I still haven't gotten it worked out yet. :eusa_doh:

:eek:fftopic: I used to go to the Los Gatos DMV when I had to go at all. Going to any of the San Jose ones was like shooting yourself in the foot. LG was usually a little less crowded. It's a whole different experience in TN. You take a number and sit down and there are no lines. I went into culture shock the first time I went. I was in and out in less that 20 minutes.

Finally a posting I can really get behind!

Together and hideously ugly for 10 years this November:

As you can tell by the pics, we're a very serious lot at my house.

Those are wonderful pictures and you both look marvelous!

There is something about booth photos that always charms me. I am not sure what it is. Wasn't there a collector of discarded ones in Amelie?

I LOVE those photobooth pictures. Fantastic!

And I believe there was a collector of those lost pictures in Amelie! That is a great movie.

This particular photo booth is a vintage one that resides in the the Andy Warhol Museum. Warhol was also a lover of photo booth pics, that's why they have a booth at the museum. Everytime I go there, we make a special trip to the basement for instant vintage photos. The night those photos were taken, John Waters was at the museum. I wanted to ask him to take some photo booth pictures with me very badly, but I chickened out.

I think people tend to loose their inhibitions when taking a photo booth pic - you're in your own little booth with no one looking. You feel less self concisious. That really adds to the charm of the picture.

Thanks for the kind words about the pictures. Out of all the pictures of us that I have, I think this photo booth set is my favorite. I think because we look spontanious and goofy and happy in the pictures - kind of the best things about our relationship in a nutshell. The pics gives me a warm feeling inside and reminds me of why I love my hubby so much.

It's the message...not the medium that counts.

luvthatlulu -> Me (the one with the non-ISP email address; aka Not the Lulu)
Lulu -> Lulu (the one without access to a non-ISP email address; aka Mrs. Me)

It should only confuse those who choose to be.

BTW, nice suit, my man!

Not the Lulu

I believe luvthatlulu is married/affianced/dating/stalking the aforementioned Mrs. Lulu. Mrs. Lulu cannot be a member of the Lounge because she does not have an acceptable email address with which to register. I am familiar with this problem, as I had to get a non-Yahoo email address just to join this group. I've used it a couple of times since, when I've lost my password.

Of course, luvmelulu could correct my interpretation.

There has been admiration for your chair, and it is a nice chair, but I really like your jacket. I don't suppose it is actually a suit? I have seen one or two similar suits, but they are few and far between.
