Here's my "Dallas" Mallory Ten.

It's a bit moth ridden under the brim, but I think it gives it character. I love the color, and the 1 3/4" sweat is in perfect shape. The liner looks to be silk to me instead of satin, can this be? It has a union tag in it, but I cant find anything else to show its age......anybody?

Hey Bolt, cool Mallory. Haven't seen that liner before. It does have the cloth size tag which is "usually" pre-Stetson buyout. I have a couple with that style non-reeded sweat. I'll check those for other dating clues.

This one isn't marked as a Dallas, but it's similar to those I've seen posted here. It was definitely worn -- it had the vestiges of a center dent -- but it's in excellent shape.

I decided that the original owner was on to something with that center dent.

The photos miss the slight green tone to the ribbon that sets off very nicely against the gray felt.

Open crown, the hat is 5 1/4 inches high, with a 2 3/8-inch brim. The only tag under the sweatband is a union tag.

Looking at that makes me think "I want one"

Here's the beautiful lavender 6 7/8 Pliafelt that's been mocking me for the past year at the local antique mall.

The mall doesn't allow photography, but will take photos and email them to customers, usually with a watermark to avoid a proxy ebay problem. I don't know why they didn't watermark these. I'm putting a thread in the classifieds for this, with the understanding that I don't have it in my possession.

That is fantastic.

I can't quite give it a fantastic due to the small size but what is that ribbon and binding color? I'm seeing some shade of light purple. That is pretty damn cool!

...edit
OK, I see I missed the lavender. This is one I'd sure want to see in person or in better light and lens.

Interesting ribbon treatment on that one on the left. I just got a berg which has the same twist on the side opposite the bow. It seems to be a very old hat. Maybe not 1914, but I'd say from the '20s.

Mallory Premier

First time worn today. It has a few marks that I'll try to get rid of. Probably 40's/50's. It's lost it's liner along the way, so if anyone has an old Mallory liner they'd like to sell, send me a private message.

Mallory - dated

Here is a Mallory with a full date on the inside tag. Feb 23, 1962. The first 2 shots are the same hat. The color is off because some clouds rolled in between the shots. Shows how just a subtle change in light completely changes the felt color.

The 1817 liner is actually from the post-Stetson era; pre-Stetson models are designated by the 1823 liner.

Your right Mario I must have got up too early today. Sorry for any confusion.
