Well this hat might be a bit too tight for you. It is a 7 1/4 and fits dead on to my crooked standard oval 7 1/4. I just tried it on. It feels nice. Needs a little steam to tweak the crown a bit but I like it. I've never had my hands on a Mallory but I like it.

My head is a 6 7/8.

Found this Mallory at a estate sale last weekend. It's beat up dusty, dirty, the sweatband is loose in one spot but it fits.Plus I only paid $10 for it.Crown 5 1/2",brim 2 3/4"w/brim edge binding,7/8" ribbon, unreeded 2"sweatband w/taped seam and sewn in liner.I'll clean it up some maybe a new ribbon.Even if it doesn't turn out great it will be a awesome beater r.

RJR,yes I think with a little work I can give this hat a new life.Randooch, your right this hat has great bones.I will post pics when I'm done with it.Will have to wait till the weather gets better. Then I can give it a naptha bath.It did look better after a good steaming and brushing.
