I missed this one earlier in the week. Wow, a true lord's hat, no trace of brim binding and classic homburg lines. I would like a little more curl to the brim, but I love this one.
Thanks, Mike. I get what you mean about the brim curl. Some of these homburg type hats have it in spades, this one is a bit more austere.

Borsalino Serikon. This must have been a line rather than a model as I’ve seen other Serikons that looked completely different. 6.5” open crown and 3.5” brim (before the curl)! A big hat.

That hat is brilliant. I have been pushing the envelope on my custom Lords hats but the max I have gone is 3" on the brim and then just a 1/4" pencil curl

I think it's a beauty, Brent. Good catch. Don't change anything about it (or do; it's your hat after all).

Perhaps someone might recommend a source for this design of a Lord's hat? View attachment 327001
The Lord's (can't decide if it deserves an apostrophy or is just meant to be plural?) hat in its strictest interpretation has an unbound edge. This hat looks to me like a Homburg with pinches. It has a bound edge and a true D'Orsay curled brim. BUT it is generally not a hard and fast dividing line between the two. I think the Homburg was for more formal occasions where the Lord's hat was meant for tromping about the estate. Watch episodes of Downton Abbey to see the 'where and when'. I have a hat like this that I picked up cheaply from Millers Hats. It is a true Homburg that I have added pinches to it to dress it down some. I think they still offer this hat....try google.

Yep, as @belfastboy said, the hat in the photo is a homburg and not a lords hat. The hat in your photo has probably been shaped by owners, prop/costume managers, etc. into its current shape. Find a homburg that fits and is of the same proportions and you shouldn’t have any trouble shaping it pretty close to your photo.

Not sure where I grabbed this pic from nor if hat's a homburg or lords hat but I like it whatever it is.

looks like a gambler+homburg hybrid. Unique. I like unique.
