Lee Angora long hair. 2 3/4” brim and a full 6” open crown. Great hand and great condition all around. Photos don’t do the sheen justice. Thank you Bowen for giving me the little push!

Very nice, Brent. Didn't know they even did longhairs. Seems like you got it to behave as well (I like my longhairs well behaved).

Sweeeetness!!
Push, heck i was ready to buy that and wear it over a watch cap to fit.
I hope it’s as nice as i thought cause it sure looks it now with the brushing.
Did we decide Angora bunny or sheep/goat??

This isn’t sheep! I’m not sure of material(s), but it’s super soft and plush; definitely fur felt. Thanks again for being my sounding board, B.

So the reason that one of those ads above was a repeat is because it's one of the few ads I've looked at that referenced a Lee pant pocket hat. Here is an interesting Lee that I just acquired... the model is the Santa Fe, the color in the pictures is off but I'd describe it as a milk chocolate (damn indoor color) but I took a shot on top of my cordova dobbs twenty for reference. The crown is about 4" as you see it, 5 1/2" as open crown, the brim is 2 5/8". One noticeable moth bite and a couple of small ones, but nothing all the way through. The leather sweat is a bit thicker though, but deeply imbossed and the little bit I've been able to find on Goodwin-Pope is they opened in 1934, and were around until at least 1962.

Looks a fair bit like a Lee, which I assumed was made somewhere in the 40's, I picked up at a Goodwill some 35 years ago. Mine though is tan and the crown of mine seems a bit taller. It was then and still is in excellent condition. 1 of only 2 felt fedoras I own.

Thank you. I'm digging it's vibe, very different than any other hat I own.

That's neat. Got any pictures, I'd love to see it!
This one is in pretty good condition. The inside comes across as great, but a couple of worn areas around the edge of the bash probably due to how lightweight the felt is. It's definitely not as dense a felt as the Dobb's Jolly Rounder I have.

40/50s Lee Gold Label Water Bloc featuring: Oil skin liner tip, reeded sweatband, 3 cord hat band, 3 3/8 bound brim, 4 13/16 crown at front crease.
Was looking for a Lee Blue Label fedora when I found this full on western. Lee didn’t make many wide brimmed westerns, so I was elated to find this Gold Label at a relatively low BIN price.
I left the diamond crease it arrived with, but steamed a cowboy curve in the previously formed flat brim.
The seller said he is a doctor and has a big collection and just didn’t have the opportunity to wear this full western often, so he put it up on eBay for $125. 125! With a size of
7 3/8 it Could’ve gotten three times that, at least.
Well, I aim to give this hat what it deserves. Plenty of time on a very proud head.

Interesting. My Smartlee is actually a super thin and soft lightweight felt weighing 76g. More like a Borsalino featherweight or maybe a Lee Bon voyage. No mention of light weight in the ads. Maybe the later Smartlee was more lightweight
I'll keep looking Joe.
