I did, it's a well worn Langlitz Columbia (33 years old) in medium cowhide. It has to go back to Langlitz for some stitching repair, but overall is in pretty good shape. I was looking for something well broken in and with some patina, and I was the only one who bid on the item, so I got it for a very low price.

All kidding aside, anticipation of a shipment alerted to us that is "Out for Delivery" creates a great deal of anxiety - can't even take a bathroom break for fear of missing out. On one occasion when I was expecting an IWC Mark XVII, my friendly UPS guy rang the doorbell once and ran back to his truck and left with my watch before I could open the door. I chased him down the block waving my arms but to no avail. Then I jumped in car and spent the next 45 minutes tring to find him. Just as I was about to give up, I spotted him in his truck and collected my package.

I did the same thing for my Goodwear A-2 delivery (I must have looked a bit like Steve McQueen in "Bullitt" the way I was driving!). Definitely worth the chase!!!

Thanks, I was looking for a while for a broken in jacket in this style, and finally found one with my exact dimensions. It's off to Langlitz for some TLC, and then I will write up a review. Pretty excited so far with its condition... even with Langlitz repairs I should be under $450 total investment. They are VERY reasonable with their repairs, they really do what they can to keep their jackets being worn for decades.

I walked down to the post office today with my slip to pick up a jacket that had arrived, and to get some exercise and fresh air. On my way back I was approaching home and saw the mail truck pull into the driveway. I had to jog the last quarter mile or so, which is the only running I've done in the past 20 years. Anyways, no heart attack, so I was able to get my packages from the mail lady while she was still in my driveway. Three more jackets had arrived! Wow, what a day, four jackets in one day, HA HA HA

Of course, you do know that with all delivery companies and the USPS you are able to send them a signature release and place it on file for all non signature required parcels.... then they leave them without the waiting......most will also redirect parcels to local drop ship places for after hours pickup...like 24 HR FedEx kinkos....

My FedEX UPS DHL and USPS delivery people will even sign a sig and leave stuff in my drop box located around the side of my place ...that require signatures....that is why they get a Christmas tip every year.....

I'm sure we can do our best... I stayed at the Hotel Sacher for 5 days in September and marveled at the amount of chocolate torte consumed there by tourists, because, well, that's what we are told to do in Vienna. I hope your jacket arrives soon.

I've had a couple where the parcel guy is leaving my street as I'm driving up my street home...I find the ticket in the mail box, call the company, and they say they can't turn back. Always on a Friday afternoon, and they won't be back until Monday. It's also like living on the other side of the planet, sending out the email enquiries with the usual 12 hour time difference. I still check every 5 minutes, thinking maybe, just maybe, they are in the office at 3am on a Tuesday morning just catching up on some emails....
