A trailer with the modern outdoorsman in mind.

Very nice. I have been watching Airstream and their various trailers for some time now. Did you see the four that were designed by Ralph Lauren? Those too were quite something.

The Airstream travel trailers are beautiful, in my opinion. My father hated them. (It seems I like many of the things my father hated - these trailers, I love Lucy - but I otherwise like many more of the things that he did like.) He especially disliked the curved body. Mostly because it cut into the storage space in the upper cabinets. So, he bought us a 22' Komfort trailer, and we had many years of fun camping around California. Especially at Clay Canyon, near Corona. I wonder if that campground is still there.

I would love a small, older Airstream - about the size of the one you show above, Feraud - to haul around behind my '67 Chrysler. It'd be quite an attraction at car shows.

My uncle's job consists of hauling Airstreams back and forth across the country for different people. Pretty much they buy one, hire him and he delivers it. He also restores them and uses two himself. They are works of art in and of themselves. I wonder if he could get me a deal on one that needs a little tlc??!!

My next door neighbor has a large Airstream tattooed on his left forearm. I'm not making this up. I will attempt to get a picture of it.
He did not have a very sensible explanation for its existence. Not that there would be any sensible explanation for that sort of thing.

There is a whole sub-culture of people into them who restore them and pull them to meets and such. Why not? They're cool like vintage cars.:cool2:

A Shot over the Bow of the SS Chrissy.

I shot this, today, at the storage facility where I sometimes visit my belongings. It's one of two on the lot. The other one is in rather sad shape. I didn't get a shot of it, because the batteries in the digital were completely exhausted after this one.

Maybe it is home, Lady Day, because I could totally fit everything I'd want into one of those puppies.

Neighbors being annoying? Find new ones. Tired of the view? Swap it out. :)

Besides, you could have its picture in front of all the great Golden Era landmarks in the US.

It's not camping, but its cozy. And I bet you could do really cute things with vintage prints. Of course I'd need a vintage or vintage-looking truck to tow it...hmmm... :D

I'll likely never own a camping trailer as I camp in tents, but they always get my attention when I see one. Just got to love the look, the smaller the better.

Yea, me too, but after you get a little older it gets harder to get up off the ground in the morning!

Why not just stay home?

Stay home? Life is too short for that!
I am the outdoor type and need to keep moving. Whether it be camping, flying somewhere, or day trips to new part of town, I would rather do anything outside than sit home to watch the grass grow.

When it comes to vacations I am not one to sit on a beach and have the locals bring me drinks. I want to be out and about seeing what is out there.

Airstreams are something else. I've been living in one the past few years while attending college - hey, it's cheaper than an apartment. It's pretty nice, though gives the occasional maintenance nightmare.
