When we were posted in Buenos Aires back them....we used to live in Palermo a very nice area ....and I heard many years after ....that he the great Julio Sosa was killed around the corner where I lived....in an automovile accident in the early 60s ...just around the corner where my life took place..

Venturing deep into far away strange lands.... strange moods and things.... 1960s Bobby Capo.

Some Spanish friends may understand the time and place... who knows.

Out of my modest collection of 78s, I've managed to only break two or three, and the only one that also took a little chunk out of my heart was Vincent Lopez's "La Conga/Yumba Son Rumba." I've been unable to track down another source of this despite numerous hollerings down the Google Tube.

Miguel Calo y su Orquesta Tipica -- Los Despojos (1947)
(Ruins)
vocal by Raul Iriarte

Come, get up, don't cry
Or beg or plead with me
I hoped that one of these days
Kneeling at my feet
You would bring your pain

But the years have passed
And my anger has faded
And today I finally see you again
Please don't cry
I have already forgiven you

Only ruins remains today
The wreckage of our love
Why have you come back like this?
In your old age with the shadows of the past?
Look how I am away from you
I also grew old in pain
Today we are shadows of what we were
Nothing more
I don't know if you should have come back

Bonus Track
Francini Pontier y su Orquesta Tipica
vocal by Roberto Rufino
