Freewheelers are sort of cause celebre around here. Dont want to stir up any trouble. Lets just say I dont like the way it looks

I have the Mulholland- Love it.
If I were to get a Real McCoy's it would be the Nelson for sure.
Both are top quality.
But I do agree that the hookless zipper sucks! Looks nice but I am not a fan. Originally I did not like the diagonal stitches to the pockets of the Mulholland, but, like a few around here it actually grows on you and now I love the look. Like an unconventionally beautiful woman-you begin to really appreciate a beauty that is outside your limited scope and experience of ignorance.

ps The Mulholland has a better underarm design for functional reach and movement.
The adjustable buckles sit higher on the Nelson. Just a few small preferences to consider.

The ones I've tried, the speedmaster and the LA Brea size 42, didn't work for me in terms of fit. As you can see the chest is too narrow while the shoulders are relatively wide and the armholes high / narrow. One size down might look better but the chest would definitely be too tight. In terms of looks I'm not a huge fan of those generous upper arms in combination with the wide shoulders. It makes the jacket look bulgy from the back.

For comparison, this is my HD Sportster which has a wider chest and narrower shoulders. Upper arms are generous like the FW but the HD doesn't look as bulgy from the back because the shoulders aren't as wide. A much better look for me imo.

After analyzing all the comments here on the forum, for which I am very grateful to all of you, guys, I decided to buy both jackets in size 40. I hope I don’t regret about my decision.
Ideally, I would like to buy a Mulholland in brown color, but I understand that it is very difficult to find one in a new condition. Therefore, I agree to black.

FW jackets are a crapshoot in terms of fit. I love the Caboose and Speedmaster, but they do not come close to fitting me.

My biggest disappointment in my short leather jacket career was the fit on the Mulholland. Quite bummed that it didn’t measure up (literally)

Have you posted fit pics?
