Hello,

Does anyone have a Cooper orange tag A2 - and if so how do they fit? do they fit like modern jackets or are they more like slimmer military spec fit? just curious - i am looking at few online for a beater jacket.

thanks

I used to have a Cooper orange tag A-2 in 44 long and would say that it had more of a slimmer military spec fit. The lining was a cotton/polyester blend. Not a bad jacket at all.

Hi...I have two..a 44&42....great jackets.due to a smell of smoke I threw them both in the washing machine...they turned out perfect..and they fit great...the 42 can only be worn with a tee shirt tho....great jackets& I wear them more than any other...,,(aero.Eastman etc)& I don't feel worried bout damaging them..great buys for about£100 apiece

I have found Orange Label Coopers trim in the chest fit, short in the sleeves and body, and low armholed (lift your arms and whole jacket lifts).

The linings are just coarse enough to be "sticky"-- they grab your shirtsleeve and shirt when donning the garment.

Their disco collar looks terrible unless you either snap it down or reshape it while wet. Then it actually becomes one of the more authentic Thirties-look collars.

The leather is variable. I have one orange label that is a nice midweight goatskin, another white label Saddlery that gives every indication of being capeskin

I had an orange label goatskin obne back in the late 90's / early naughties .... it was a great jacket and the guy I sold it to ( my buddy John D ) has still got it and wears it regularly.

I got a 42" and it fitted fine for me ( which would be a little loose for most on here) but to me it fitted great. The arms also showed slight tunnelling but it never really bothered me.

Great value jackets ... much like the original intent of the A-2.

I too had one some time ago. I'm a 42 and it was a 44 and fit very well. I'm pretty much an off the rack fit. I wore that jacket till the knits were ragged. It went off to goodwill. Replacing the knits was more than another jacket off the Bay.

Mine is an orange tag. Size 42. Other than needing a 44 it's a great less expensive jacket. One thing I don't like is the sleeve hole as spoken of by others, it's slightly restrictive and the whole jacket comes up with the arms. Nice thick goatskin, decent zipper and cuffing. Hope this helps!

Had a size 40, Commemorative Edition orange label. Was quite nice. This was my very first A-2 ;) It was too short, so sold it off. If I recall, it was a touch roomy in the torso, not very trim, had slightly droopy shoulders on my frame.

Always makes me look like I have a Gut and saddlebags no matter my weight, I duno why they thought they were Nylon Jackets and trim them like the newschool cut stuff when they should be trim and lean.
