The Fedoras of Gary Cooper

I've been thinking about having a fedora custom made for me based upon the one worn by Gary Cooper in The Fountainhead. This got me thinking: what other fedora has he worn in his career?

Funny thing, but the hat he wore in "High Noon" is the hat I most associate with him! I don't recall the others when I think of him, but then it's THAT movie that I most associate with him:) But he did wear Fedoras VERY well :)

The Harrison Ford of his day, I guess.

Ironically, his outfits from For Whom the Bells Toll and High Noon supposedly inspired those of two iconic Harrison Ford characters. I agree though, he wore hats quite well, but the one I most associate with him is his western hat in High Noon.

There's a line in Puttin' on the Ritz ... "tryin awful hard to look like Gary Cooper, Super Duper!"
On and off the screen, he was a classy looking guy.
I recently restored and converted an old Stetson western, rebuilding it to look like the tall crown, narrow brim fedora that Cooper and Cagney sported in the 30s. It ended up looking a lot like the Meet John Doe fedora.
As Lili Von Shtüpp once said: "Gee, what a swell guy!"

Anyone know who made his hats? We know, for example, Bing Crosby patronized Dobbs. Do we know who Cooper preferred? Or does it look as if they're all custom made designs?
