My latest Diamond project – a moth-damaged ebay purchase (1960s Restistol 7X “Chute”) turned into a John Wayne style western:

I think we have a new crease name, at least a couple of possibilities: The UPS Crease or the The USPS Crease.


On edit: I thought the box meant shipping damage but after reading the "new hats" post I see the brim curl I thought was shipper's re-shape is not the damage.

Thought I'd give this thread a bump. I have been craving diamond creases for some reason lately and gave my Stratoliner one.

Looks good, Roger. I like the way a lot of those vintage felts take a diamond crease and still show the marks of the handwork. I also like the way a diamond crease enhances the look of a straight-blocked crown or can take some taper out of the crown if it has some. Over the last year I've creased almost all my hats with diamonds.

Nice ones guys. Here's a 4X Stetson OR that I originally creased as a Diamond Crease, but, I change it over to a C-Crown instead. Kind of wished I would have left it a Diamond crease. Oh well, maybe next time...
